المتحف المصري بالقاهرة يحتفي بيوم التراث العالمي بمعرض “النيل نبض الحضارة المصرية”
في إطار احتفالات وزارة السياحة والآثار بيوم التراث العالمي (18 أبريل)، افتتح كلًا من السيد الأستاذ الدكتور هشام الليثي، الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للآثار، والدكتور أحمد رحيمة، معاون وزير السياحة والآثار، معرضاً أثرياً مؤقتاً بالمتحف المصري بالقاهرة، يسلط الضوء على “نهر النيل” باعتباره شريان الحياة ومحور تشكيل الهوية المصرية عبر العصور، بحضور كوكبة من قيادات الوزارة والمختصين.
وخلال مراسم الافتتاح، أكد الأستاذ الدكتور هشام الليثي، الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للآثار، أن تنظيم مثل هذه المعارض النوعية يعكس بوضوح تنوع وغنى الحضارة المصرية عبر مختلف عصورها، حيث تقدم رؤية متكاملة تربط بين التراث المادي والبيئي، وتبرز كيف ساهم النيل في تشكيل أنماط الحياة والمعتقدات. وأشار سيادته إلى أن المجلس الأعلى للآثار يولي اهتماماً كبيراً بتطوير المحتوى المتحفي في كافة المواقع الأثرية، بهدف تحسين التجربة السياحية وجعلها أكثر جذباً وتفاعلاً مع الزائرين من مختلف دول العالم.
وفي ذات السياق، صرح الدكتور أحمد رحيمة، معاون وزير السياحة والآثار، بأن الوزارة تعمل دوماً على دعم مثل هذه الفعاليات التي تبرز تلاحم المؤسسات الأثرية مع قضايا العصر، مؤكداً أن دور معاوني الوزير يتمحور حول تذليل العقبات ودعم المبادرات التي تهدف إلى إيصال الرسالة الحضارية لمصر بصورة عصرية تليق بمكانتها الدولية.
من جانبه، أوضح الدكتور أحمد حميدة، رئيس قطاع المتاحف، أن هذه المبادرة تأتي ضمن استراتيجية شاملة يتبناها القطاع لتقديم تجارب متحفية مبتكرة تسهم في رفع الوعي الثقافي لدى كافة فئات المجتمع. ولفت إلى أن المعارض المؤقتة تمثل أداة فعالة لربط الجمهور المعاصر بتراثه الأصيل، وذلك من خلال طرح موضوعات ذات صلة بواقعنا الحالي، مثل قضية الاستدامة والبيئة، ولكن بجذور تاريخية عميقة تعود لآلاف السنين.
وفي سياق متصل، أشار الأستاذ مؤمن عثمان، رئيس قطاع مشروعات الآثار، إلى أن الجانب الجمالي والتقني في العرض المتحفي لا يقل أهمية عن القيمة الأثرية للقطع، مؤكداً أن الحفاظ على مقتنيات هذا المعرض وإبرازها بهذا الشكل المتطور يعكس جهود قطاع المشروعات الدؤوبة في أعمال الصيانة والترميم. وشدد على أن هذه الجهود تضمن استدامة التراث المصري وحمايته كإرث عالمي فريد يتناقله الأجيال بكل فخر.
من جانبه، أشار الأستاذ سعيد شبل، رئيس قطاع التسجيل وحفظ الآثار، إلى الأهمية العلمية والتوثيقية لهذا المعرض، موضحاً أن كافة القطع المعروضة خضعت لعمليات تسجيل وتوثيق دقيقة تعكس جهود قطاع التسجيل في الحفاظ على الأصول الأثرية، وضمان أرشفتها وفق أحدث النظم العالمية بما يخدم الباحثين والزوار على حد سواء.
واختتم الدكتور علي عبد الحليم، مدير عام المتحف المصري، الكلمات بالإشارة إلى القيمة العلمية والتراثية للمعرض، موضحاً أنه يضم مجموعة متميزة من القطع الأثرية التي يغطي بعضها فترات زمنية ممتدة من عصر الأسرات الأولى وحتى العصر الروماني. وأضاف أن المعرض يشهد عرض مقتنيات للمرة الأولى أمام الجمهور، مما يجسد المكانة المقدسة التي احتلها نهر النيل في الوجدان المصري، ويبرز التنوع البيئي الفريد المرتبط بالنهر من خلال تماثيل وتمائم نباتية وحيوانية نادرة. أبرزها نماذج لمقياس النيل وتماثيل “تاورت” ربة الحماية، صفائح معدنية نادرة تجسد إله النيل وعملات رومانية تصور النيل في هيئته الهلينستية “نيلوس”، بالإضافة إلى تمائم وتماثيل لحيوانات ونباتات مرتبطة ببيئة النهر مثل البردي واللوتس والطيور والتماسيح.
إن اختيار موضوع النيل هذا العام هو دعوة لإبراز العلاقة المتوازنة بين الإنسان والبيئة، وتأكيد على أن مصر ستظل نموذجاً عالمياً في الحفاظ على تراثها الإنساني.

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo Celebrates World Heritage Day with the Exhibition: “The Nile: The Pulse of Egyptian Civilization”
In alignment with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ celebrations of World Heritage Day (April 18th), Prof. Dr. Hesham El-Leithy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, and Dr. Ahmed Rahima, Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, inaugurated a temporary archaeological exhibition at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The exhibition highlights the River Nile as the lifeblood of Egypt and the cornerstone of Egyptian identity throughout history, in the presence of a distinguished group of Ministry leadership and heritage experts.
During the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hesham El-Leithy emphasized that organizing such thematic exhibitions clearly reflects the diversity and richness of Egyptian civilization across various eras. He noted that the exhibition provides an integrated vision linking tangible and environmental heritage, illustrating how the Nile shaped lifestyles and belief systems. He further stated that the Supreme Council of Antiquities prioritizes the development of museum content across all archaeological sites to enhance the visitor experience, making it more engaging and interactive for global audiences.
In the same context, Dr. Ahmed Rahima, Assistant to the Minister, stated that the Ministry consistently supports events that demonstrate the synergy between archaeological institutions and contemporary issues. He emphasized that the role of the Minister’s assistants focuses on facilitating initiatives and overcoming obstacles to convey Egypt’s civilizational message in a modern way that befits its international standing.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Hamida, Head of the Museums Sector, explained that this initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to provide innovative museum experiences that raise cultural awareness. He pointed out that temporary exhibitions serve as an effective tool for connecting the modern public with their authentic heritage by addressing contemporary themes—such as sustainability—through deep historical roots.
Furthermore, Mr. Moamen Othman, Head of the Antiquities Projects Sector, indicated that the aesthetic and technical aspects of museum display are as vital as the archaeological value of the artifacts. He confirmed that preserving and showcasing the collection in such an advanced manner reflects the sector’s diligent efforts in maintenance and restoration, ensuring the sustainability of Egyptian heritage as a unique global legacy.
Mr. Saeed Shebl, Head of the Antiquities Registration and Preservation Sector, highlighted the scientific and documentary importance of the exhibition. He explained that all exhibited artifacts underwent meticulous registration and documentation processes, reflecting the sector’s efforts in safeguarding archaeological assets and ensuring they are archived according to the latest international standards to serve both researchers and visitors.
Concluding the remarks, Dr. Ali Abdel-Halim, Director General of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, highlighted the scientific and heritage value of the exhibition. He explained that it features a distinguished collection of artifacts spanning from the Early Dynastic Period to the Roman Era. He added that the exhibition includes pieces displayed for the first time, embodying the sacred status of the Nile in the Egyptian psyche and showcasing the unique environmental diversity associated with the river through rare statues and amulets of flora and fauna. Notable highlights include models of the Nilometer, statues of Taweret (goddess of protection), rare metal plaques personifying the Nile God, and Roman coins depicting the Nile in its Hellenistic form, “Nilus,” alongside amulets of papyrus, lotus, birds, and crocodiles.
The selection of the Nile as this year’s theme is an invitation to highlight the balanced relationship between humanity and the environment, reaffirming Egypt’s role as a global model in preserving human heritage.
