تحل اليوم ذكرى وفاة الفنانة القديرة زينب صدقي، إحدى أبرز نجمات الكوميديا في تاريخ الفن المصري، وصاحبة الحضور الطاغي الذي ترك بصمة لا تُنسى في السينما والمسرح، رغم أنها لم تكن من نجمات الصف الأول من حيث البطولة المطلقة، إلا أنها كانت دائمًا “نجمة المشهد” التي تخطف الضحكات وتثبت موهبتها في كل ظهور.

 

وُلدت زينب صدقي في 30 أبريل عام 1913، ونشأت في بيئة شعبية بسيطة انعكست ملامحها وروحها على أدوارها الفنية، فكانت قريبة من الناس، معبرة عنهم، وناطقة بلسان الطبقة الوسطى والبسيطة، وهو ما جعل الجمهور يشعر أنها واحدة منهم وليست مجرد فنانة على الشاشة.

 

بدأت مشوارها الفني من المسرح، الذي كان المدرسة الأولى لصقل موهبتها، قبل أن تنتقل إلى السينما في وقت مبكر، لتشارك في عدد كبير من الأفلام التي أصبحت علامات بارزة في تاريخ السينما المصرية. تميزت زينب صدقي بخفة ظل فطرية، وقدرة استثنائية على أداء الأدوار الكوميدية دون مبالغة أو افتعال، فكانت الضحكة تخرج طبيعية وصادقة، وهو ما منحها مكانة خاصة لدى الجمهور.

 

اشتهرت الفنانة الراحلة بتقديم أدوار المرأة الشعبية، والجارة الفضولية، والصديقة خفيفة الظل، والخادمة الذكية، لكنها استطاعت أن تخرج من إطار النمطية بإضفاء روح إنسانية وعفوية على كل شخصية جسدتها. لم تكن مجرد أداة للضحك، بل كانت تقدم الكوميديا الممزوجة بالصدق والعمق، لتصل رسالتها بسلاسة إلى المشاهد.

 

شاركت زينب صدقي في عشرات الأفلام، من بينها أعمال خالدة مثل “سلامة في خير”، و”سي عمر”، و”ليلة الدخلة”، و”أبو حلموس”، ووقفت أمام كبار نجوم الفن في زمن الفن الجميل، لتثبت أنها قادرة على مجاراة عمالقة التمثيل دون أن تذوب في ظلهم، بل تحجز لنفسها مساحة مضيئة في الذاكرة الفنية.

 

ورغم نجاحها الفني الكبير، عانت زينب صدقي في سنواتها الأخيرة من قسوة الظروف وقلة الفرص، شأنها شأن كثير من فناني جيلها، إلا أن ذلك لم ينتقص من قيمتها الفنية ولا من محبة الجمهور لها، والتي ظلت حاضرة حتى بعد رحيلها.

 

رحلت الفنانة زينب صدقي عن عالمنا في 15 ديسمبر عام 1978، تاركة وراءها رصيدًا فنيًا ثريًا من الأعمال التي ما زالت تُعرض حتى اليوم، وتُدخل البهجة إلى قلوب المشاهدين، وتؤكد أن الكوميديا الحقيقية لا تموت، وأن الفنان الصادق يظل حيًا بأعماله مهما مر الزمن.

 

وفي ذكرى وفاتها، تبقى زينب صدقي نموذجًا للفنانة التي آمنت بموهبتها، وقدمت فنًا نابعًا من القلب، فاستقر في قلوب الجمهور، لتظل واحدة من أعمدة الكوميديا النسائية في تاريخ السينما المصرية، واسمًا لا يمكن تجاوزه عند الحديث عن الضحكة الأصيلة والفن الصادق

عاشت الفنانة الكبيرة زينب صدقي حياة استثنائية على خشبة المسرح وأمام الكاميرا، لكنها دفعت ثمن إخلاصها الكامل للفن في سنواتها الأخيرة، حين تحولت نجمة الأمس إلى إنسانة تقاوم الفقر والجوع والنسيان.

 

وُلدت زينب صدقي في 15 أبريل عام 1895، وعُرفت في الوسط الفني بلقب “الليدي زينب صدقي”، ليس فقط بسبب أناقتها وحياتها المرفهة في فترة من حياتها، بل لأسلوبها الراقي وحضورها المختلف. كما لُقبت أيضًا بـ“قمر الزمالك”، وكانت واحدة من ألمع نجمات المسرح في مصر لأكثر من ثلاثين عامًا متواصلة.

 

وهبت زينب صدقي حياتها بالكامل للفن، ولم تنشغل بتكوين أسرة، على غرار كثير من فناني جيلها، وهو ما جعل نهايتهم متشابهة حد القسوة؛ فقر، وحدة، ونكران جميل. لم تُنجب زينب صدقي، لكنها تبنّت طفلة وربتها حتى كبرت وأصبحت لاحقًا الفنانة ميمي صدقي.

 

رغم شهرتها الواسعة، عُرفت زينب صدقي بكرمها الشديد، فكانت توزع ملابسها الجديدة على السيدات البسيطات، وتعيش بروح إنسانية بعيدة تمامًا عن حسابات الغد. لكن الغد جاء قاسيًا، حين توقفت مصادر دخلها، وأُصيبت بخيبة أمل كبيرة في المؤسسات التي أفنت عمرها بين جدرانها.

 

الكاتب الكبير مصطفى أمين كشف واحدة من أكثر الوقائع صدمة في حياتها، حين قال إن مدير الفرقة المصرية الحكومية أصدر قرارًا قاسيًا بحقها، وصفه بنفسه بأنه “قرار بإعدام زينب صدقي جوعًا”، بعدما تقرر حرمانها من المعاش الذي كانت تتقاضاه من المسرح في أوائل السبعينيات، والذي كان يبلغ 23 جنيهًا، وهو مبلغ كبير في ذلك الوقت.

 

ويروي مصطفى أمين أنه تلقى اتصالًا مؤلمًا منها، قالت فيه بحسرة:

“لما أموت هيعملوا لي لوحة في الأوبرا زي ما بيعملوا مع أبطال المسرح، اللوحة دي هتتكلف 500 جنيه، أنا مش عايزة اللوحة… وفروا تمنها وادوني فلوسها عشان أكل.”

 

كلمات بسيطة، لكنها تختصر مأساة فنانة أعطت كل شيء للفن، ولم تجد في شيخوختها سوى الجوع والوحدة. ورغم ما عاشته من قسوة، ظلت زينب صدقي رمزًا للفنانة الصادقة التي لم تساوم، ولم تجمع ثروة، ولم تبحث إلا عن حب الجمهور.

 

رحلت زينب صدقي عن عالمنا في 23 مايو عام 1993، عن عمر ناهز 98 عامًا، تاركة خلفها تاريخًا فنيًا كبيرًا، وقصة إنسانية موجعة، تفتح دائمًا ملف الوفاء الغائب للفنانين الذين صنعوا مجد الفن في زمنه الجميل.

Today marks the anniversary of the death of the esteemed actress Zainab Sedky, one of the most prominent comedy stars in the history of Egyptian cinema. Known for her commanding presence, she left an unforgettable mark on both cinema and theater. Although she was not always a leading star, she consistently stole the spotlight, eliciting laughter and showcasing her talent in every performance.

 

Zainab Sedky was born on April 30, 1913, and grew up in a modest, popular environment that shaped her personality and acting style. She was relatable to the public, speaking the language of the middle and lower classes, which made audiences feel she was one of them rather than just a screen personality.

 

Her artistic journey began in theater, the first school of her craft, before she transitioned to cinema at an early stage. She participated in numerous films that became landmarks in Egyptian cinematic history. Sedky was distinguished by her natural sense of humor and exceptional ability to perform comedic roles without exaggeration, creating authentic and heartfelt laughter that earned her a special place in the hearts of audiences.

 

The late actress became famous for portraying everyday women, nosy neighbors, witty friends, and clever maids. When She Was Condemned to Starve: The Painful Final Years of Zainab Sedky

 

The legendary actress Zainab Sedky led an extraordinary life on stage and in front of the camera, yet she paid the price for her unwavering devotion to art during her final years, becoming a woman struggling against poverty, hunger, and neglect.

 

Born on April 15, 1895, Zainab Sedky was known in the artistic community as “Lady Zainab Sedky,” not only for her elegance and lifestyle but also for her refined manners and remarkable presence. She was also nicknamed the “Moon of Zamalek” and was one of the brightest stars of Egyptian theater for over thirty consecutive years.

 

Zainab Sedky dedicated her entire life to art and did not focus on raising a family, like many artists of her generation. This often led to a harsh ending: poverty, loneliness, and societal neglect. She did not have children but adopted a girl who later became the actress Mimi Sedky.

 

Despite her fame, Zainab Sedky was known for her generosity, often giving her new clothes to women in need, living a life full of humanity and far from calculating personal gains. Yet, her later years were difficult when her sources of income ceased, leaving her disappointed and struggling.

 

The prominent writer Mustafa Amin revealed one of the most shocking incidents of her life, stating that the director of the Egyptian government theater company issued a harsh decision against her, describing it as “a sentence of death by starvation,” by cutting off her pension of 23 pounds—a significant sum at the time.

 

Mustafa Amin recounted a heartbreaking call he received from her, where she said:

“When I die, they will make a painting of me in the Opera House like they do for theater legends. The painting costs 500 pounds, but I don’t want it… give me the money for food instead.”

 

These simple words summarize the tragedy of an artist who gave everything for her craft and faced hunger and loneliness in her final years. Despite the hardships, Zainab Sedky remained a symbol of the sincere artist who never compromised and only sought the love of her audience.

 

She passed away on May 23, 1993, at the age of 98, leaving behind a rich artistic legacy and a poignant human story that continually reminds us of the neglected dedication of artists who created the glory of their era.
